Post Malone Pushes Back ‘Big Ass Stadium Tour’ With Jelly Roll to Complete His New Album
Post Malone Delays Tour to Focus on Upcoming Album
Post Malone has announced the postponement of the initial leg of his Big Ass Stadium Tour, which features Jelly Roll, as he prioritizes completing his upcoming album. The decision affects the first six dates of the tour, originally slated to kick off on May 13 in El Paso, Texas, with stops in Waco, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Tampa, and Oxford, Mississippi. The tour is now expected to commence on June 9 in Charlotte, North Carolina, after a delay of approximately three weeks.
In a message to fans, Malone explained that he revisited his schedule and found that the timeline for his live performances and recording commitments was not aligning. “Looking at the upcoming schedule… I came to the realization that what we’re trying to do, and what’s possible, isn’t really lining up,” he wrote. He emphasized his dedication to delivering new music, stating, “The truth is, I promised y’all beautiful people new music, and I don’t have the time to finish it before tour starts.”
The postponement has disappointed fans anticipating the early shows, but Malone reassured them, “I was looking forward to going nuts with y’all. That being said, we been making some badass s— for this double album… and I can’t wait to perform for y’all again.”
The artist has been teasing a new project, reportedly titled The Eternal Buzz, although no official release date has been announced. Despite earlier speculation regarding its progress, Malone confirmed that the album remains unfinished.
This delay comes after a successful period for Malone, whose 2023 album Austin debuted in the top five of the Billboard 200. Previous releases, including Hollywood’s Bleeding, spawned multiple chart-topping hits, such as “Circles,” which claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
The Big Ass Stadium Tour aligns with Malone’s recent musical exploration into country and roots-influenced sounds, a trend that has expanded his audience. His collaboration with Jelly Roll, whose rising popularity is rooted in a blend of country, rock, and hip-hop, underscores this crossover appeal. Malone’s latest album, F-1 Trillion, featured the Country Airplay No. 1 hit “Pour Me a Drink” and the Billboard Hot 100 topper “I Had Some Help.” He has hinted at more music on the way, continuing to engage fans with new artistic developments.
