South Africa’s Action-Comedy ‘Boyz Trip’ Expands Cast
The upcoming action-comedy Boyz Trip, set in South Africa, has recently announced additions to its cast, including Osas Ighodaro (Tinsel), Woody McClain (Power Book II: Ghost), Hakeem Kae-Kazim (Hotel Rwanda), record producer and songwriter Honorable C.N.O.T.E., and Peter Lee (Invasion).
These actors join previously confirmed cast members Rome Flynn, Algee Smith, Desi Banks, and Siv Ngesi. The film is directed by Kyle Scott, who has also penned the story. Emmy-nominated composers Kareem James and Marcus Ash have joined the project, contributing their musical talents.
Currently filming in Cape Town, South Africa, Boyz Trip is being produced by Autumn Bailey-Ford for Autumn Bailey Entertainment, with Scott executive-producing alongside KeyScott Entertainment and Canyon View Media.
The international cast now includes Ama Qamata, Thapelo Mokoena, Bohang Moeko, Ama K. Abebrese, Alessandra Fuller, and Francisca Aronsson, enhancing the film’s diverse lineup.
The film’s plot centers on four college friends who, eager to break from their usual yearly meet-up, embark on a boys’ getaway. The trip quickly descends into chaos, compelling them to depend on old friendships, dubious skills, and sheer luck to navigate their predicament.
Producer Autumn Bailey-Ford expressed enthusiasm about completing the cast, stating, “This is truly going to be a global project, as we have talent from London, Nollywood, South Africa, Korea, and America all coming together.”
