Live Updates: SAG-AFTRA Actor Awards Winners List

The 2026 Actor Awards, formerly known as the SAG Awards, commenced Saturday night at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, with Kristen Bell returning as host for the event, which is being streamed live on Netflix.

Fifteen competitive categories spanning film and television are featured this year, highlighted by SAG-AFTRA’s prestigious Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture award. In a notable trend, all five nominees in this category—Frankenstein (Netflix), Hamnet (Focus Features), Marty Supreme (A24), One Battle After Another (Warner Bros), and Sinners (Warner Bros)—are also in contention for the Best Picture Oscar, mirroring a similar situation last year when Conclave took the SAG-AFTRA Ensemble prize but lost to Anora at the Oscars. This broke a run of three consecutive SAG winners (Oppenheimer, Everything Everywhere All at Once, and CODA) who went on to win the Oscar for Best Picture.

The Actor Awards have excelled in aligning with Oscar nominees in acting categories, given that the Actors Branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is the largest. This year’s frontrunners include Jessie Buckley from Hamnet, Emma Stone from Bugonia, Leonardo DiCaprio from One Battle After Another, and Timothée Chalamet from Marty Supreme, who won the best actor award the previous year for A Complete Unknown.

In the television categories, this year’s ceremony will feature a new champion for Drama Ensemble, as FX’s Shōgun won last year. HBO’s The White Lotus, which won for its Sicily season in 2021, is nominated again for its Thailand season. Also defending their title is Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building, last year’s Comedy Ensemble winner, alongside 2023 champion The Bear.

Additionally, both shows will compete against current Emmy champions: HBO Max’s The Pitt in Drama and Apple TV’s The Studio in Comedy, both of which are in their debut seasons.

Noteworthy categories include the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series, which features a nomination for Catherine O’Hara from The Studio, who passed away on January 30.

The ceremony will also honor Harrison Ford with SAG-AFTRA’s Life Achievement Award. The show will include presentations from nominees including Sterling K. Brown, Chase Infiniti, Chalamet, and Wunmi Mosaku, along with Lisa Kudrow.
