LAPD Takes 100 Firearms from Home in Lincoln Heights
Weapons Cache Discovered in Lincoln Heights Home
LOS ANGELES – Authorities have seized 100 firearms from a Lincoln Heights residence following a search warrant executed by the Los Angeles Police Department early Tuesday morning.
The operation began around 4:15 a.m. as part of an investigation concerning a prohibited possessor of firearms under California and federal law. LAPD officials reported that the haul included both rifles and pistols.
Video footage from the Citizen app depicted officers in tactical gear surrounding the property, prompting concerns among neighbors who mistook the intense police presence for an immigration enforcement operation.
Aerial footage from SkyFOX showcased investigators packing the weapons into a van. Officials confirmed that the resident was detained outside the home, while family members inside cooperated with authorities.
The resident later told FOX 11’s Mario Ramirez that he identifies as a gun collector and possesses legal permits for all firearms located in the home. He noted that the current investigation stems from a previous charge in July when he was cited for having a weapon in his car without a permit, which prevented him from legally owning firearms.
All weapons were confiscated during the operation, but no arrests were made. The investigation is ongoing.
