Monte-Carlo, Monaco – Acclaimed actors Kristin Scott Thomas and Kurt Russell will be honored with the prestigious Crystal Nymph Award at this year’s Monte-Carlo Television Festival. The awards ceremony is set to take place in June 2026, marking a significant milestone as the festival celebrates its 65th anniversary.
Scott Thomas will receive her award during the festival’s opening ceremony on June 12, while Russell’s accolade will be presented at the closing ceremony on June 16. This honor recognizes their longstanding contributions to the film and television industries and their lasting impact on the creative landscape.
Both stars have exemplified the festival’s tradition of attracting prominent figures from the entertainment world. The Monte-Carlo Television Festival has been a notable event each summer, drawing talent from the U.S., Europe, and beyond.
Scott Thomas’s distinguished career spans both stage and screen, with notable film credits including Gosford Park, The English Patient, and Four Weddings and a Funeral. More recently, she has appeared in the television series Slow Horses and has made memorable contributions to Military Wives and Fleabag. An Oscar nominee and a BAFTA award winner, she has also made her directorial debut with My Mother’s Wedding, featuring actors such as Scarlett Johansson and Sienna Miller.

Russell, whose extensive career bridges both film and television, began his journey in productions with The Walt Disney Company. He has since emerged as a major figure in Hollywood. Recently, he has returned to television with Monarch: Legacy of Monsters and is set to feature in the upcoming series The Madison.
