Kirsten Dunst Responds to Jesse Plemons’ Oscars Snub with a Fun Meme from a Co-Star
As Hollywood reflects on the recent Oscar nominations, actress Kirsten Dunst is highlighting a notable omission: her husband, Jesse Plemons, was not nominated for Best Actor.
Following Thursday’s announcement of the Academy Award nominees, Dunst shared a meme created by Stavros Halkias, her co-star in the film Bugonia. The meme captures Halkias’ sentiment regarding Plemons’ performance in the Yorgos Lanthimos-directed film, stating, “Me to everyone who didn’t nominate Jesse Plemons for best actor tho,” together with a selfie featuring a sticker of a hand pointing a gun at the camera.
Plemons recently received a nomination for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, but the accolade was awarded to Timothée Chalamet for his role in Marty Supreme.
In a previous achievement, Plemons earned his first Oscar nomination in 2022 for Best Supporting Actor for his work in The Power of the Dog, a Netflix film that also garnered Dunst her first nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
