Julianne Nicholson and Coco Greenstone Team Up with Brad Pitt in Edward Berger’s ‘The Riders’
The upcoming film follows Fred Scully, portrayed by Brad Pitt, as he navigates a disorienting life change after settling in Ireland with his wife, Jennifer, and their daughter, Billie. After spending two years traveling across Europe, the family purchases an old farmhouse near a castle at Jennifer’s urging. While Scully dedicates weeks to renovating their new home, Jennifer returns to Australia to manage their assets. Upon arriving at Shannon Airport to reunite with them, Scully is met unexpectedly by Billie alone. Jennifer’s absence is unexplained, leaving the young girl speechless and Scully’s world shattered.
Production for the film is set to begin this month, with Scott Free’s Ridley Scott and Michael Pruss producing alongside Kajganich and Berger’s Nine Hours. Pitt will work with Jeremy Kleiner and Dede Gardner from Plan B Entertainment. The film will be financed and distributed worldwide by A24.
