In line with the tournament, which will be held across 16 cities in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, Copa Del Rave is set to host match viewing parties at Los Angeles nightclubs Academy and Exchange L.A.
The events will showcase DJs, labels, and party brands representing the nations competing in that day’s matches. Notable participants include Claude VonStroke for Team USA, along with Reggaeton Rave, Gasolina, and Bolo’s Vibraza Records supporting Mexico, and Blaq Pages and Afrobeats To The World representing the African diaspora. Revelers can expect vibrant dancefloors both before and after each game.
Admission to these viewing parties is free with RSVP, while VIP tables are available for purchase.
Since its inception, Copa del Rave has raised over $75,000 for charitable causes. Proceeds from this year’s events will benefit Common Goal, a nonprofit organization aimed at increasing access to soccer for children.
“Copa del Rave has always been a huge labor of love, and we’re grateful for everyone’s support over the years,” stated co-founders Alastair Duncan and Jonathan McDonald. “For the stars to align, and for us to be able to showcase global dance music and DJ culture while supporting a good cause alongside the world’s biggest sporting event here in LA, has been a dream opportunity. Massive thanks to all the DJs and partners, and to the venue team at Academy, for helping bring the Residency to life. It’s going to be a really fun few weeks.”
In addition to local events, headline performances by Madonna, Shakira, and BTS have been announced for the FIFA World Cup Halftime show taking place at MetLife Stadium on July 19, marking the first halftime show in World Cup history.
