Diddy Supports Thanksgiving Dinner for Inmates This Year

Sean “Diddy” Combs is making an unexpected impact this Thanksgiving by supporting fellow inmates at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey.
While serving his 50-month sentence at the federal correctional institution, the 56-year-old hip-hop mogul organized a Thanksgiving meal for 1,000 inmates on Thursday, November 27, as reported by TMZ.
“Thanksgiving, to me, is about making sure other people eat,” Diddy shared through his representative. “Everybody misses their family. People get depressed during the holidays. We just wanted to come together as a family and do our own thing.”
Alongside a group called Bankroll Bosses, Diddy and others gathered commissary food, prepared it over two days, and distributed meals across every housing unit at Fort Dix. The Thanksgiving menu featured roast turkey with trimmings, mashed potatoes, corn, and dessert.
Despite the lack of proper cooking facilities, Diddy and the team improvised, using ID cards to cut the food without access to microwaves or stoves.
In October, Diddy was transferred to Fort Dix following his conviction in July on two counts related to transportation to engage in prostitution. He was also sentenced to pay a $500,000 fine and serve five years of supervised release. His legal team is currently challenging both the conviction and the sentence.
“There’s a lot of misinterpretations about prison,” Diddy told TMZ. “There is a strong brotherhood. We all look out for each other. It’s nothing but a positive thing. It’s like a little bit of home in a dark place.”
