Joanne Froggatt Steps Back from Her Production Company to Prioritize Acting and Family Life
EXCLUSIVE: Joanne Froggatt, the Golden Globe-winning actress best known for her role in Downton Abbey, is set to close her production company, Insight Pictures.
Founded in 2020, Insight Pictures entered into an exclusive first-look deal with MGM International Television Productions just two years later, during which she established the comedy series Love to Tell the Tale, focusing on a single woman’s pursuit of motherhood.
In a statement, Froggatt remarked, “Winding up Insight Pictures was a considered personal decision as I shift my focus toward my family and my acting work. Leading the company was a valuable and rewarding experience, and I am grateful for all that it taught me.”
The closure of Insight Pictures is voluntary, with Opus Restructuring appointed as the liquidator. According to filings at the UK’s Companies House, the company reported capital and reserves of £413,284 ($550,000) last year.
Froggatt continues to shine as a series regular in MobLand, a popular drama on Paramount+ that features renowned actors such as Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren. Production for Season 2 is currently underway in the UK. Her notable work includes roles in Liar and Angela Black.
Froggatt’s representation includes Conway Van Gelder Grant and Principal Entertainment LA.
