Jim Carrey Celebrates His Wonderful Girlfriend Min Ah at Their First Public Outing Together
Jim Carrey Accepts Honorary Award at César Awards
Jim Carrey made a notable appearance at the César Awards, accepting an honorary award on February 26, 2026. The actor attended the event in Paris accompanied by his daughter, Jane, his grandson, Jackson, and his girlfriend, Min Ah, whom he referred to as his "sublime companion."
In his acceptance speech, delivered entirely in French, Carrey expressed heartfelt gratitude to his family. "Thank you to my wonderful family, my daughter Jane, and my grandson Jackson. I love you now and forever. Thank you to my sublime companion, Min Ah," he said. He also paid tribute to his late father, saying, "And finally, thank you to the funniest man I have ever known: my father, Percy Joseph Carrey, who taught me the value of love, generosity, and laughter."
This occasion marked the couple’s first public appearance together, showcasing their deepening relationship. Although the duration of their relationship remains unclear, Carrey has been previously married twice, first to Melissa Womer from 1987 to 1995, with whom he shares his daughter Jane, and later to his Dumb and Dumber co-star Lauren Holly.
Reports indicate that Carrey and Min Ah were first spotted together in 2022 when they left an event in Los Angeles.
In a light-hearted moment, Carrey concluded his speech with a humorous nod to his language skills: “Almost mediocre, right? Forgive me, I didn’t speak French, but I’m just learning it. My tongue is tired.”
Jim Carrey’s latest film was the 2024 release of the third installment of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, where he reprised his role as Dr. Robotnik. In previous interviews, Carrey hinted at his potential retirement from acting, stating, "I really like my quiet life, and I really love putting paint on canvas… I have enough. I’ve done enough. I am enough."
As he continues to navigate his career and personal life, the spotlight remains on Carrey, especially as he embraces new chapters alongside Min Ah.
