Jessica Sula Cast in New Fox Drama Series ‘The Interrogator’
Welsh Actress Jessica Sula Joins Stephen Fry in New Drama Series
Welsh actress Jessica Sula is set to join Stephen Fry as a series regular in the upcoming Fox drama series, The Interrogator. Sula, known for her role in Michael, will portray the character Astrid, adding to the cast that includes Jenna Elfman, Luke Kleintank, and Michael Beach.
The Interrogator, produced by Lionsgate Television and Fox Entertainment, received a direct order for 12 episodes for the 2026-27 season earlier this year. The series follows former MI6 agent Conrad Henry, played by Fry, who leads an elite team. With a combination of unconventional tactics and his unique charm, Henry approaches the minds of the world’s most dangerous criminals when traditional methods fall short.
Sula’s character, Astrid, is depicted as a criminal psychologist with a sharp wit and idealistic approach. Although new to the world of espionage, she shows remarkable talent in reading people—an ability she inherited from her estranged father, Henry. Astrid is portrayed as a master manipulator who utilizes her skills for altruistic purposes.
The pilot script was initially penned by Fry, with key revisions from Matt Pyken and William Harper, whose contributions helped secure the series greenlight. Executive producers and showrunners Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie are joined by Fry, Harper, and director Paul McGuigan. Other executive producers include Anthony Bregman, Miriam Mintz, Matt Pyken, Neil Burger, and Anonymous Content.
Sula has recently appeared as LaToya Jackson in the biopic Michael, directed by Antoine Fuqua, and stars alongside Will Harrison in Play House. She also holds a series regular role in Amazon’s Panic and features in the Welcome Villain reboot of The Last Shift, Malum. Sula is represented by Gersh, 3 Arts, and Warning and McKenna in the UK.
