Jennie Garth has introduced a new puppy to her family, named Dottie, in an Instagram announcement made on January 5.
The former star of Beverly Hills, 90210 expressed her joy, stating, “I’m about to blow your mind with cuteness! My new baby Dottie is going to lift all of our moods 🤗.”
In her post, Garth, 53, mentioned the launch of a new series titled “What’s Dottie doing?” which she plans to share on Mondays, aiming to brighten the start of the week for her followers 💗 #mondayswithdottie.
The Instagram carousel showcases Dottie wearing a festive red-and-green floral bow, with a caption that reads, “Best Christmas delivery ever! Thank you Santa,” accompanied by a heart emoji.
Also included is a video of Dottie enthusiastically meeting one of her new canine brothers, captioned, “Getting to know one of my new brothers.”
Garth previously shared a photo of herself and Dottie donning matching Santa hats on Christmas Day, alongside a family picture featuring other dogs.
She expressed gratitude to Santa (notably to her husband, Dave Abrams, and their daughters) in her Christmas message: “Thank you Santa 🐾! Merry Christmas from our family to yours ❤️🎄🎁 Hope your holiday is full of JOY & PEACE.”
Married to Dave Abrams since 2015, Garth has three daughters—Luca, 28, Lola, 23, and Fiona, 19—from her previous marriage to Peter Facinelli.
Known for her affection for animals, Garth shared in 2022 a series of images featuring herself with various dogs, noting that there were “more dogs in my photo albums than people 🤷🏼♀️ #nationaldogday.”
In May, Garth shared her grief over the loss of her beloved dog Pearl, expressing, “It’s been a couple of months, I haven’t wanted to talk about it,” alongside a photo of her with Pearl at the beach. She reflected, “Pearl changed our lives,” adding, “My Pearly girl will be with me forever in the softest place in my heart, where I cherish all the people who have left but whom I still feel every day.
