Jeff Wilbusch and Sydney Park Join the Cast of ‘The Morning Show’ Season 5
The Morning Show Announces New Cast Additions for Season Five
The critically acclaimed series The Morning Show will welcome actors Sydney Park and Jeff Wilbusch to its roster for the upcoming fifth season. Park, known for her performances in Scary Movie and Moxie, will portray Leah, the new assistant to Cory Ellison. Wilbusch, who has starred in Something Very Bad is Going to Happen and Unorthodox, will take on the recurring role of Roman, Head of Protective Services for the UBN News Division.
Returning for the new season are the series’ leading stars, Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, along with a host of talented actors including Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Nicole Beharie, and Emmy winner Jon Hamm. Previously announced additions for Season 5 include Jeff Daniels, Jesse Williams, Renee Rapp, and Sean Hayes.
The fourth season of The Morning Show launched in spring 2024, pushing the narrative forward nearly two years to explore the aftermath of the UBA-NBN merger. Characters navigated a complex landscape filled with deepfakes, conspiracy theories, and corporate cover-ups, reflecting the challenges of understanding truth in a polarized America.
Season 4 also featured guest appearances from Aaron Pierre, William Jackson Harper, Boyd Holbrook, Marion Cotillard, and Jeremy Irons.
The Morning Show is helmed by showrunner and executive producer Charlotte Stoudt, alongside executive producer and director Mimi Leder. The production is backed by Media Res, with Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer contributing as executive producers, alongside Stoudt and Leder. Witherspoon serves as an executive producer via Hello Sunshine, while Aniston and Kristin Hahn do so through Echo Films. Zander Lehmann and Micah Schraft are also among the show’s executive producers.
Wilbusch recently starred in Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, which featured Camila Morrone and Jennifer Jason Leigh. He gained recognition for his lead role in Peacock’s crime drama The Calling and appeared in several notable productions, including Netflix’s Keep Breathing and the Emmy-nominated film Oslo.
Park is set to feature in Scary Movie 6, alongside Regina Hall and Marlon Wayans, and has recently completed a lead role in the horror-comedy Halloween Store. Her previous work includes appearances in There’s Someone Inside Your House, First Love, and Moxie. She started her career in stand-up comedy at the age of six and gained significant attention after competing on America’s Got Talent. Her television credits span a variety of well-known series.
