J. Cole continues to earn the admiration of fellow artist j-hope, who expressed his enthusiasm for Cole’s latest album, The Fall-Off, during a recent livestream on Weverse. The BTS member praised the project, stating it “went crazy.”
The livestream coincided with j-hope’s birthday on February 18, where he gave a heartfelt shout-out to the rapper. “Congrats on the album, Cole hyung,” he said, using a term of brotherly affection in Korean, as defined by the Oxford English Dictionary.
“Album went crazy for real!” j-hope added with a broad smile. “You will always be my GOAT. Thank you, brother. Much love to you.”
Released on February 6, The Fall-Off debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The album features 21 songs, contributing to J. Cole’s total of 111 entries on the Billboard Hot 100. This milestone positions Cole as the 22nd artist to surpass 100 entries.
Even if the commercial success of the album had been less pronounced, j-hope would have remained a steadfast supporter. The two artists have a longstanding friendship, having first collaborated on the 2023 single “On the Street” after meeting at Lollapalooza. j-hope has admired J. Cole since his teenage years, and in 2013, BTS released a reinterpretation of Cole’s “Born Sinner” titled “Born Singer,” a project that the North Carolina artist approved for inclusion in the boy band’s Proof anthology.
With The Fall-Off now available, the focus shifts to BTS, who are preparing to release their album Arirang on March 20. The group’s return comes after a period of individual projects and military service commitments.
