Joey Morof Gains Popularity with Hugh Jackman Impressions

Joey Morof, a 24-year-old TikTok creator, has captured the internet’s attention with his uncanny impressions of actor Hugh Jackman. His viral videos, which include memorable scenes from classic performances like Les Misérables and The Greatest Showman, have garnered him nearly 900,000 followers on TikTok and an additional 124,000 on Instagram.

Despite his rising fame, Morof has not yet had the opportunity to connect with Jackman, who is 57. "I wish I have," Morof shared. "I was even invited to a pre-screening of his new movie and had all these questions lined up, but scheduling just didn’t work out." Nevertheless, he remains hopeful for a future collaboration, stating, "I feel like it’ll happen eventually. I’d love to do something with him someday."

Morof’s passion for impressions began in his childhood, where mimicking his Jewish grandmother became a beloved family tradition. Over the years, he diversified his repertoire, successfully imitating characters such as SpongeBob and Squidward. It was during his early college years that he started honing his Jackman impression, first inspired by Les Misérables in 2012 and later influenced by The Greatest Showman.

"I’d be in the hallway singing Bring Him Home or One Day More just for fun with friends," he recalled. "It started as a joke, but it stuck with me."

Following his recent viral success, many have suggested that Morof possesses, as he described, "the gift of a content creator." Amused by the recognition, he said, "Honestly, I kind of agree… I just love making people laugh." While he values brand deals that come his way, he emphasized that his primary motivation remains bringing joy to his audience.
