City Section Quarterfinals
Division I
In a commanding performance, #1 Granada Hills defeated #9 LA Marshall with a score of 82–50. The matchups continue Saturday with #5 LA Jordan facing #4 Crenshaw at 1 p.m. Additionally, #3 Venice outplayed #6 Sun Valley Poly, winning 58–40, while #2 Chatsworth narrowly defeated #10 Rancho Dominguez, finishing 67–64.
Division II
1 Bravo advanced by forfeit against #8 MSCP, while #4 King/Drew narrowly edged #12 Downtown Magnets, winning 52–50. Upcoming games include #3 Sylmar hosting #6 Carson and #10 Marquez competing against #2 Eagle Rock, where Marquez won 57–50.
Division III
1 RFK Community triumphed over #9 Orthopaedic, finishing 49–46. #5 Huntington Park secured a victory against #4 Hollywood, winning 45–36. #3 SOCES had a dominant match against #6 Foshay, coming out on top 84–64. #10 Verdugo Hills surprised #2 Los Angeles with a narrow 59–58 win.

Division V
In a series of notable games, #8 Legacy defeated #9 Sotomayor, 58–43, and #13 Magnolia Science Academy took down #4 Sun Valley Magnet, winning 55–47. #19 Santee delivered an impressive performance to beat #3 Vaughn 78–56.

Open Division
In Pool A, #9 Crespi outscored #8 Corona del Mar 82–70. Pool B saw #7 Harvard-Westlake defeat #10 Damien 67–62. In Pool C, #6 Corona Centennial triumphed over #11 Etiwanda, finishing 74–48. In Pool D, #12 La Mirada edged #5 St. John Bosco 56–53.

In a surprising result, #16 Blair defeated #1 Bonita 79–71. #9 Trabuco Hills also triumphed over #8 Saugus 60–54.

1 Gardena Serra successfully defeated #16 Northwood, finishing 55–47. Rancho Mirage had a notable 87–73 win against #9 California.

Placentia Valencia narrowly edged #1 Hemet 65–63.
