Harry Styles Shows Solidarity with Palestinians at Together, Together Show in Amsterdam
Harry Styles expressed his support for the Palestinian people during the opening weekend of his Together, Together tour in Amsterdam. This event coincided with his performance on May 17 at the Johan Cruyff Arena, where a fan in the audience shouted, “Viva Palestina!”
Styles responded affirmatively, saying, “Correct,” highlighting his stance on the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The situation has escalated significantly in 2023 following the October 7 attacks by Hamas, which resulted in the deaths of approximately 1,200 Israelis and the capture of 251 hostages. Israel’s subsequent military actions have led to an estimated 71,000 Palestinian casualties since the onset of the war in Gaza. While a ceasefire was brokered in October, reports from the Palestinian Ministry of Health note that more than 850 individuals have died due to continued strikes in Gaza.
While Styles is not known for frequently voicing his political opinions, he has previously encouraged his fans to engage in political issues. In 2022, he made headlines for helping register over 54,000 new voters through a partnership with HeadCount during his Love on Tour.
Now back on the road, the Grammy winner promotes his Billboard 200-topping album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, released in March, which features the No. 1 single “Aperture” on the Billboard Hot 100. Following his Amsterdam dates in June, Styles will continue his tour with mini-residencies in London, São Paulo, Mexico City, and New York City, before finishing in Australia with shows in both Melbourne and Sydney.
