Harry Styles has returned with his first new single in almost three years. On January 22, the pop star dropped “Aperture,” a captivating dance love song that serves as the lead single from his forthcoming album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.
The track features introspective lyrics, with Styles singing, “It’s best you know, What you don’t, Aperture lets the light in.” The reference to a camera’s aperture symbolizes how it affects the visibility and depth of an image.
In the song’s chorus, Styles adds, “We belong together, It finally appears it’s only love,” over a lively electronic beat produced by Kid Harpoon, who also contributed to his 2022 hit, “As It Was.”
In a faster-paced bridge, Styles reflects, “I won’t stray from it, I don’t know these spaces, Time won’t wait on me, I wanna know what safe is,” suggesting themes of freedom and healing through dance. The song’s tone is more subdued compared to the vibrant synth-pop energy of his previous album, Harry’s House, signaling a new artistic direction.
Styling his announcement with humor, Styles shared a snapshot on Instagram, captioning it, “Aperture. Out Now. Video. 17:00 UK.”
On January 20, just days before the release, he had teased “Aperture” on Instagram, sharing a lively photo of himself in the studio, arms outstretched in excitement.
“Aperture” marks the first single from the One Direction alum since 2023’s “Satellite.” Earlier on January 22, Styles also announced a seven-city residency titled “Together, Together,” promoted by Live Nation, which will feature 50 stops in cities including Amsterdam, London, São Paulo, and New York from May to December.
Notably, Styles is set to perform 30 shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City, as well as a six-night run at Wembley Stadium, making these his only U.S. appearances during 2026.
Among the special guests lined up for select dates are Robyn, Shania Twain, and Jorja Smith.
On January 15, Styles revealed more about his upcoming album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally., his first release since Harry’s House, which earned him multiple Grammy Awards in 2023, including Album of the Year.
Executive produced by his longtime collaborator Kid Harpoon, the new album promises to showcase Styles’ evolving artistry.
With anticipation building, Styles is set to release Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally. on March 6.
