Taylor Swift shared a heartfelt moment with her Eras Tour crew in a recent release, offering fans a deeper understanding of the emotional connections formed during the tour.
On December 12, Swift launched the first two episodes of her Disney+ docuseries, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour | The End of an Era. The series begins with Swift backstage in Vancouver, gathering with her team before the tour’s final concert, which took place on December 8, 2024.
In a powerful speech to her dancers, band, and background vocalists, Swift, 35, reflected on the significance of their achievements. “We have performed for over 10 million people in person,” she emphasized. “That’s not like, ‘Oh, 10 million people watched a TV show.’ We performed for 10 million-plus people, and I think about every single one of you as little kids,” she remarked, recalling their early dreams of pursuing performance arts.

Swift continued, addressing the challenges faced by artists: “You have to love the thing so much that you override 85 to 95 percent of the advice you are given along the way.” With sincerity, she recounted the rejections and obstacles her team has faced in their careers, highlighting their resilience.
Expressing her thoughts on mentorship, she emphasized the importance of encouraging the next generation, saying, “Every single person in here has the spirit to mentor others and to tell them, ‘Yes, do it. Try it. Go for it, if you have that same love for it.'” This sentiment resonated as crew members visibly connected with her words.
As her speech drew to a close and some crew members displayed emotion, Swift reflected on the journey of the Eras Tour. “Everyone likes to talk about phenomenons, like the Eras Tour, almost as if it was pieces falling into place in some sort of accidental confluence,” she said. “But I don’t view it that way. Every single one of us has done so much work that allowed this tour to click together.” She concluded by asserting the monumental accomplishment they have achieved together.

The first episodes of the series showcase the strong bonds Swift has developed with her crew over the years, especially during the Eras Tour, which spanned 149 performances from March 2023 to December 2024.
Recently, Swift reunited with her crew for a special screening of the docuseries in New York City, just a few days before the December 12 release.

The docuseries delves into Swift’s personal experiences throughout the Eras Tour, revealing both the highs and lows she encountered. It also offers a glimpse into the tour’s inception, with Swift explaining that the concept was born two years before the tour began, influenced by the sale of her master recordings and the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The initial two episodes of the six-part series are now streaming on Disney+, with new episodes set to be released weekly. In addition, on December 12, Swift released The Eras Tour | The Final Show, a concert film that captures her last performance in Vancouver, which is also available for streaming. These projects follow the release of her record-breaking twelfth album, The Life of a Showgirl.
