Hadley Robinson, Sam Brodnitz, Nat Wolff, and Max Baker Star in Heartfelt Family Drama ‘Funnybone’ by Ori Segev and Noah Dixon
EXCLUSIVE: Filming has concluded in Ohio for Funnybone, an independent film featuring talents such as Hadley Robinson (The History of Sound), Upright Citizens Brigade’s Sam Brodnitz, Nat Wolff (Play Dirty), and Max Baker (Hail, Caesar!). The film is directed by Ori Segev and Noah Dixon (Poser), based on a script by Dixon.
Funnybone is described as a supernatural, darkly humorous family drama that revolves around two estranged siblings who return home following their father’s death. Upon their return, they uncover an enormous prehistoric bone buried in their backyard.
Directors Segev and Dixon stated, “Funnybone begins as an intimate family story with something unsettling beneath the surface, gradually drifting into stranger territory while remaining emotionally honest at its core. It’s a film about what families try to bury, and what surfaces when you start digging.”
Valerie Steinberg (Karmalink, War Pony) is producing for Valerie Steinberg Productions, alongside Drew Johnson (Poser) from Loose Films and Heather Francis. Executive producers include Mike & Susan MacLeod, Aidan Cantine & Sophie Cantine, Cameron & Molly Mitchell, and Chad Simpson. WME Independent is managing sales for the film.
