Gracie Abrams is set to release her latest single, “Hit the Wall,” on Thursday, May 14, at 2 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The announcement was made via social media at the beginning of the weekend.
“‘Hit the Wall,’” Abrams shared on Instagram on May 1, revealing the title of her upcoming track. “My new song is out everywhere on May 14th at 5pm PST. I love it with everything I have. – DFH.”
The announcement featured eye-catching single artwork, depicting the singer-songwriter standing before a dramatic backdrop of wild flames, creating a shadowy silhouette.
“DFH” is believed to reference Abrams’ forthcoming album, which would mark her third full-length studio release. Her debut album, *Good Riddance*, was released in 2023 under Interscope Records, followed by *The Secret of Us* in 2024, which made its first appearance at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
Last month, Abrams teased new music with a snippet that ended abruptly just as her vocals were about to begin. The Instagram clip hinted at an upcoming project but provided no additional details.
Before this, she shared candid in-studio photos with producer Aaron Dessner, alongside images of a journal decorated with “DFH” and “3” stickers, as well as a witch sticker.
In an interview with *Billboard* last year, Abrams noted her collaborative process with Dessner, stating, “Aaron and I are catching each other in these little pockets between hectic times. Every day that I live with the music, things start to become a little clearer. There’s something we’re starting to crack that is making both of us feel energized.” She was also on tour for *The Secret of Us*, which is set to continue through the summer of 2025.
