Fred Armisen Teams Up with the Dar Brothers as a Wild Casino King in Season 2 of ‘Deli Boys’
Hulu has unveiled the complete Season 2 trailer for Deli Boys, set to premiere on May 28. The series features actors Asif Ali, Saagar Shaikh, and Poorna Jagannathan in leading roles.
The trailer introduces Fred Armisen as Max Sugar, a legendary figure in the gambling world noted for his exceptional ability to read people. With a global casino empire centered in Philadelphia, Sugar is described as both brilliant and dangerously unhinged.
This season, the Dars find themselves entangled in a world of illicit money as unscrupulous characters from Philadelphia’s underbelly close in. Max Sugar, the casino king and money launderer, becomes entangled in a chaotic relationship with Lucky, while Raj seeks revenge against Ahmad and Mir attempts to grow DarCo without disastrous consequences. Meanwhile, Philadelphia D.A. Andrew Chadwater is on a mission to secure a major arrest that might boost his political ambitions.
In the trailer, a voice remarks to Mr. Sugar, “We’ve run out of places to hide our money.” Armisen’s character responds, “I don’t do anything illegal here,” before adding with a knowing smirk, “I do.” He goes on to propose a 20% cut on every dollar laundered through their operation.
The cast also includes Andrew Rannells and Kumail Nanjiani in recurring roles, alongside new guest stars Lilly Singh and Robin Thede, with Tan France returning as a guest star.
Created by Abdullah Saeed and developed by Jenni Konner and Nora Silver under Jenni Konner Productions, Deli Boys is produced by Onyx Collective and 20th Television, with Michelle Nader serving as showrunner and executive producer.
All six episodes of Season 2 will be available for streaming on Hulu beginning May 28, with Season 1 currently accessible.
