Evacuations Take Place Due to Brush Fire in Lake Elsinore
Evacuations Ordered as Brush Fire Ignites Near Lake Elsinore
Evacuations are currently taking place following a brush fire that erupted in northern Lake Elsinore on Friday afternoon, according to fire officials.
The fire, identified as the Vista Fire, ignited on El Toro Road just before 4:30 p.m., rapidly consuming approximately 200 acres within the first hour, as reported by Cal Fire.
An evacuation order has been issued for residents in the area north and west of Highway 74, east of El Toro Road, and south of Ethanac Road. In addition, several evacuation warnings have been established.
As of 5:35 p.m. on Friday, a map showed evacuation zones marked in red, with evacuation warnings highlighted in yellow.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. An NBCLA crew is en route to gather further details.
