In his Instagram post, Sheeran shared, “Yes I’ve shaved my hair. I wanted to shave it to signify a fresh start. A lot of new beginnings in my life atm. I love it, thinking of keeping it this way.”
In addition to his new look, the “Perfect” singer announced additional dates for his Loop Tour, covering locations in Mexico, Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, and Chile. He expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Some of my fav countries and cities to play shows in, it’s been too long.”
Sheeran also shared a reunion with producer Martin Garrix, posting a photo of the two musicians playing guitars together. “Caught up with @martingarrix recently, know that guy for over a decade now, I love him, what a bloke,” he commented.
On a more challenging note, the 35-year-old artist revealed that he has been battling shingles for the past month, advising that he “wouldn’t recommend it,” though he is now “on the mend.” According to the National Institutes of Health, shingles is a painful rash caused by the same virus that results in chickenpox, primarily affecting those aged 60 and older. While there is no cure, antiviral medications can alleviate pain and help clear up the blisters.
During his recovery from shingles, Sheeran found time to watch the hit series Stranger Things, remarking that season four “bangs.” He also read and praised Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver, acknowledging, “I might be late to the party with that one, but [it’s] brilliant; go check it out.”
In addition to his TV and reading interests, Sheeran has taken up collecting vinyl records. Among his latest finds is The Traveller by Allan Taylor, a special addition he discovered at a record store.
Looking ahead, the four-time Grammy winner expressed eagerness to resume the Loop Tour in just over a week: “Can’t wait to get back cracking on that, see you lovely people there.”
