Driver Suspected of DUI After Colliding with Patrol Car in West Hollywood, According to LASD
Deputy Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash in West Hollywood
Early Tuesday morning, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy sustained minor injuries after a hit-and-run collision in West Hollywood. The incident occurred around 2 a.m. near Santa Monica Boulevard and Sweetzer Avenue when a driver struck the deputy’s patrol car and fled the scene.
The deputy was subsequently treated for minor injuries and was released from the hospital later that morning. Following the crash, other deputies responded quickly, utilizing a description of the suspect’s vehicle to locate and apprehend the driver.
The individual has been arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and driving under the influence. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
