Dreaming Whilst Black: Premiere Date and Trailer for the U.S. Release Announced
Upcoming Season 2 of Dreaming Whilst Black to Premiere on Paramount+
The highly anticipated second season of Dreaming Whilst Black is set to debut in the United States soon. Paramount+ has confirmed that the new season will premiere on February 20, with new episodes airing weekly until March 27.
Created by Adjani Salmon and produced by Big Deal Films and A24, the series stars Salmon as Kwabena, a passionate Black British filmmaker aspiring to create meaningful work without compromising his integrity.
In this upcoming season, Kwabena is on the verge of securing his first significant directing role, tasked with leading a radical "color-blind" historical drama. However, what appears to be a remarkable opportunity quickly presents a labyrinth of challenges.
The creative team behind the series includes Salmon, Maximilian Evans, Natasha Jatania, and Laura Seixas, alongside writers Thara Popoola, Ali Hughes, and Yemi Oyefuwa. Directors for the new season are Sebastian Thiel and Abdou Cissé, with executive producers consisting of Salmon, Ali Hughes, Dhanny Joshi, and Thomas Stogdon. The production is helmed by Nicola Gregory.
