Actress Debby Ryan and her husband, Josh Dun, the drummer of Twenty One Pilots, have welcomed their first child, a son named Felix Winter Dun.
Ryan shared the news via an Instagram post on Saturday (December 13), featuring a personal video from her birthing tub and the first images of Felix, including a touching moment of Dun holding their newborn.
In her post, Ryan reflected on the couple’s transition to parenthood, saying, “We sat under the full moon—the cold supermoon—reminiscing on our life as a family of two, and told the child I was harboring that we were ready to become three. By midday, Felix was born under Christmas lights with snow outside our bedroom window, right into her father’s hands.”
Expressing gratitude, Ryan described Dun as “an incredible teammate” and extended thanks to her birth team and the women who supported her during pregnancy. She affectionately referred to Felix as “lil moonbeam,” adding, “Her hair is made of silk and her breath smells like vanilla ice cream and every chirp, squeak, and whimper is music. Every time I look away and look back, she’s gotten smaller somehow.” She concluded, “I’ve been a lot of things but her home, a grow light, a portal to bring a new soul into the world—these are my greatest honors. Welcome to earth lil moonbeam. Love you forever.”
Ryan and Dun tied the knot during a New Year’s Eve ceremony on December 31, 2019, following their engagement a year earlier.
Ryan first gained fame as a regular on Disney Channel shows, including Jessie (2011-2015) and The Suite Life on Deck (2008-2011). Recently, she appeared in American Horror Stories and the film Turtles All the Way Down (both set to release in 2024). Ryan is also set to star in the upcoming thriller Famous alongside Zac Efron and Phoebe Dynevor, and will lead in the sci-fi thriller Orion.
Meanwhile, Twenty One Pilots recently achieved their 13th No. 1 on the Alternative Airplay chart with their latest single, “City Walls.” This single marks the band’s third No. 1 in 2023, following “The Line” in August and “The Contract” in February. With this achievement, they tie with Cage the Elephant and Green Day for the third-most No. 1s in the chart’s history, trailing only the Red Hot Chili Peppers, who lead with 15.
Their latest studio album, Breach, made a strong debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in September.
