Curry Barker Welcomes Violet McGraw to ‘Anything But Ghosts’
EXCLUSIVE: Violet McGraw, known for her roles in the M3GAN franchise and Thunderbolts, has joined the cast of Curry Barker’s upcoming film Anything But Ghosts. This addition further enhances the film’s ensemble, which already includes Aaron Paul, Bryce Dallas Howard, and collaborator Cooper Tomlinson. Production for the film has concluded in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Focus Features has taken on the distribution of Anything But Ghosts, marking its second project with Barker after acquiring his forthcoming film Obsession at TIFF Midnight Madness for over $10 million. Barker directed Anything But Ghosts and co-wrote the screenplay with Tomlinson.
Set to release on May 15, Obsession currently holds an impressive 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The film Anything But Ghosts is produced by Blumhouse-Atomic Monster, Spooky Pictures, and Divide/Conquer, with notable producers including Jason Blum, Roy Lee, and Steven Schneider, alongside Adam Hendricks and Greg Gilreath. The executive production team consists of Barker, Tomlinson, and Ben Ross from Image Nation.
Violet McGraw made her return to the big screen last year in M3GAN 2.0 and reprised her role as young Yelena Belova in Thunderbolts. She also collaborated with director Mike Flanagan for The Life of Chuck, which secured the People’s Choice Award at the 2024 Toronto Film Festival. Recently, she starred in The Curse of the Necklace, alongside her sister Madeleine, with both acting as producers.
McGraw initially gained prominence in Flanagan’s The Haunting of Hill House and later appeared as Young Yelena in Black Widow. Additionally, she leads the Tubi YA comedy Summer’s Last Resort alongside Sophia Bush and Jerry O’Connell.
She is represented by Coast to Coast Talent Group, Linden Entertainment, and Shreck, Rose, Dapello.
