Craig Melvin Joins Al Roker and Hoda Kotb as Co-Host for NBC’s 2026 Rose Parade Broadcast
NBC Announces New Host for 137th Rose Parade
NBC is set to feature a new face in its coverage of the 137th Rose Parade, joining seasoned co-hosts Al Roker and Hoda Kotb. For the first time, TODAY co-anchor Craig Melvin will take on the role of host alongside Roker and Kotb.
This year’s parade marks Roker’s 27th year co-hosting and Kotb’s 11th. The trio will broadcast live from the iconic corner of Orange Grove Avenue and Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena, California, on January 1, from 8 to 10 a.m. PT.
The 2026 Rose Parade will be NBC’s 99th year covering the event, having started its journey with radio broadcast in 1927 before transitioning to television in 1954. Notably, Earvin “Magic” Johnson has been announced as the Grand Marshal for this year’s festivities.
The parade will also be available for streaming on Peacock and will be broadcast live on Telemundo, featuring hosts Penelope Menchaca and Carlos Calderon.
This year’s celebration will showcase a stunning array of 40 rose-covered floats, 17 equestrian teams, and 19 marching bands from around the globe. The telecast is produced by Live Digital Entertainment, with Eddie Delbridge and Shaun Smith serving as executive producers.
