Chris Meloni and Mariska Hargitay Share a Heartfelt ‘Law & Order’ Reunion After ‘Organized Crime’ Cancellation
Despite the conclusion of *Law & Order: Organized Crime*, Detective Elliot Stabler and Olivia Benson remain lifelong partners off-screen.
Following the show’s recent cancellation after five seasons, Christopher Meloni, who portrayed Stabler, recently caught up with Mariska Hargitay, star of *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit*, who has played Benson for 27 seasons.
In a lighthearted Instagram post, Meloni shared moments from their dinner, captioning, “What one does on a random Thursday when still in LA and freshly unemployed. Dinner hang with pals @therealmariskahargitay,” along with photos from the outing.
Later, Meloni expressed gratitude to the franchise’s fans for their support during his spin-off, which began in 2021 after his original 12-season run on SVU from 1999 to 2011. In a heartfelt reply, Hargitay commented, “P4L [partners for life].”
Meanwhile, *SVU* continues its record-setting run as the longest-running primetime live-action series, recently renewed for Season 28.
Looking ahead, Meloni is set to star in Dan Fogelman’s upcoming NFL drama, *The Land*, on Hulu.
