Catch Up with BLACKPINK: Listen to Their New Mini-Album ‘Deadline’ Today
Trending on Billboard
BLACKPINK’s much-anticipated mini-album Deadline has finally been released.
This marks the first new material from the acclaimed girl group—comprised of LISA, ROSÉ, JENNIE, and JISOO—in four years, following their chart-topping album Born Pink on the Billboard 200. The new album features five tracks, including the lead single “Jump,” which launched last summer and climbed to No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100. Other songs on the album are “Go,” “Me and My,” “Champion,” and “Fxxxboy.”
The release has been highly awaited by fans, known as BLINKs, who have been eager for the group’s return after years of solo projects. Last year, BLACKPINK reunited for a major stadium tour following a period where the individual members explored their own musical interests. LISA, ROSÉ, and JENNIE each released solo albums titled Alter Ego, Rosie, and Ruby, respectively, while JISOO debuted her EP Amortage.
In addition to their solo music careers, some members ventured into acting. LISA made her debut in White Lotus, JENNIE appeared in The Idol, and JISOO is set to star in the upcoming Netflix series Boyfriend on Demand.
Despite their success as solo artists, all members expressed a longing to collaborate again. “I’ve missed doing tours with them. I miss our silly moments,” JENNIE shared in a January 2025 cover story with Billboard. She added, “Everyone took their own journey [during] this time, and I’m excited to share that with the girls. I want to say it’s going to be the most powerful [versions] of ourselves that anyone has seen.”
BLACKPINK’s new mini-album Deadline marks a significant moment for the group and their fans after a long hiatus from group activities.
