North Hollywood Home Burglarized, $200,000 in Art Stolen
A burglary in North Hollywood has left a homeowner reeling after thieves made off with approximately $200,000 in art and antiques. The Los Angeles Police Department reported the incident, which occurred on Sunday around 7 p.m. on Westpark Drive, near Riverside Drive close to the 170 Freeway.
The homeowner, who was not on the property at the time, received alerts from neighbors who noticed unusual activity at the house. The residence is currently under construction due to previous fire damage.
According to police, a shattered garage window provided entry for the intruders. Evidence inside the garage, including bedding, indicated that a suspect may have been staying there for some time.
Authorities have yet to make any arrests as the investigation is ongoing.
