Boris Kodjoe to Star in Lifetime’s ‘Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted 2 Love’
Boris Kodjoe, known for his roles in Station 19 and Code Black, will star in and produce the upcoming Lifetime movie Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted 2 Love. Garcelle Beauvais, who also stars in the film, is set to executive produce. The cast will include Lela Rochon and Vaughn W. Hebron, both reprising their roles from the original film, Tempted by Love.
Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted 2 Love is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, January 31, at 8/7c as part of Lifetime’s winter slate, titled “Love of a Lifetime,” which focuses on romance and relationships.
The plot centers around Ava, portrayed by Beauvais, a celebrated chef who appears to have moved past her heartbreak from her previous relationship with Luke, played by Hebron. As Ava heads to a prestigious culinary event in Portugal with her new boyfriend Ellis (Kodjoe), the unexpected arrival of Luke, now a respected chef himself, stirs old emotions.
The reunion unfolds as Luke arrives with his new partner, Lily (Mara Huf), leading to a series of interactions filled with unresolved feelings. Although both characters seem to have found ideal partners, their lingering attraction compels them to reevaluate their relationships and personal ambitions. Rochon returns as Deena in this emotional journey.
Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted 2 Love is produced by D’Angela Proctor for Undaunted Content in collaboration with Motion Entertainment, a WPP Media Company. McMillan, Beauvais, and Tamara T. Gregory are among the executive producers, with Roger Bobb directing a script by Gregory.
Kodjoe is represented by Gersh and Fox Rothschild, while Hebron is repped by Stewart Talent, CGEM Talent, and attorney Mark Temple. Rochon is represented by IAG and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
