Blake Lively is celebrating a tranquil holiday season at home.
The Gossip Girl star, aged 38, shared a glimpse into her cozy holiday plans on her Instagram Stories on December 28.
Lively described her festive setup: “Nothing better… Family, hot cookies, ice cold milk (yes with ice [if you know, you know]), a fire, mahjong, a sparkly Britney Spears inspired water bottle, snow outside, and a new season of Fixer Upper. My heaven.” This caption was overlaid on a photo showcasing a lovely holiday scene, featuring a sparkling Christmas tree and a view of the snowy outdoors.
Above her fireplace, decorative greenery and pinecones adorned the mantel.

Joanna Gaines, clearly impressed with Lively’s holiday décor, re-shared the photo on her own Instagram Stories, commenting on the “dreamy setup” with several heart-eyed emojis. Lively has long admired Chip and Joanna Gaines and enjoys watching Fixer Upper.
In the lead-up to Christmas, a source informed PEOPLE that Lively is committed to focusing on family during the holidays, even as she navigates her ongoing legal issues with Justin Baldoni, her co-star from It Ends With Us. The legal battle has persisted since December 2024.
Lively, who shares four children with husband Ryan Reynolds, is prioritizing family time as she approaches the holidays. “Her mindset is about being a mom and creating a special Christmas for her kids,” the source noted, adding, “Anything beyond this is something she plans to take on when the time comes.” The focus, for now, remains on her family and cherished holiday moments.

In December 2024, Lively initiated legal action against Baldoni and others for sexual harassment and retaliation, charges which Baldoni has denied. She is seeking $160 million in damages, citing lost acting opportunities and financial difficulties in her business pursuits.
On the same day, Baldoni filed his own $400 million lawsuit for civil extortion and defamation against Lively, Reynolds, and their publicist, Leslie Sloane. A countersuit filed by Baldoni was dismissed in June 2025.
As the one-year mark of this legal battle approaches, Lively’s legal team expressed her resilience in the face of what they describe as a “billionaire-financed effort to try to ‘bury’ her, her family and businesses.” They affirmed that Lively is determined to combat the forces aiming to silence women who speak out.
Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, acknowledged the challenges faced by his clients in a recent statement, expressing gratitude for their supporters and trust in the eventual triumph of truth.

Freedman also highlighted the season’s spirit of caring, advocating for attention to broader issues affecting the world, especially during this time of year. He expressed hopes that the community continues to support one another through the holiday season.
The upcoming trial regarding Lively’s claims is scheduled to commence in New York City in May 2026.
