Bindi Irwin’s daughter, Grace, continues her adorable friendship with a tortoise. On November 28, Bindi previously shared a video of Grace meeting Igloo for the first time after their family trip to Los Angeles in support of Robert Irwin on Dancing with the Stars. In the video, Grace expressed her joy, saying, “I missed you,” as she hugged the tortoise and excitedly fed it.
“When he sees Grace, he runs across his paddock, which is huge. If you’re a tortoise, you can’t really run very fast, but he makes an effort,” Bindi shared in a previous interview about Grace’s relationship with Igloo. “They truly love each other! It’s the funniest thing you’ve ever seen,” she added, expressing her delight at the unique friendship.

In a June interview, Bindi discussed her approach to introducing Grace to various animals, including tortoises and wombats. “We decided to slowly let Grace be around them, teaching her to read animal cues. That’s how my parents raised me,” she said, emphasizing a gradual learning process.
As a lively child, Grace often seeks to participate in family activities, expressing her desire to be involved when her parents are feeding crocodiles. “She cries, ‘I just wanna feed the crocodiles!’” Bindi remarked, highlighting her daughter’s adventurous spirit, which she attributes to her late father, Steve Irwin.
“I did not expect that having a little one would feel so familiar,” Bindi reflected. “Where did this come from? Oh, my dad.”
