Bell Residents Stand Together Against Mobile Home Park Sales That Might Displace Hundreds
Bell Residents Rally to Protect Mobile Home Parks Amid City Sale Plans
Los Angeles County, Calif. – Residents of Bell are actively opposing the city’s decision to sell two mobile home parks, a move they believe could jeopardize their homes.
At a Bell City Council meeting on December 10, community members voiced their concerns, urging elected officials to reconsider the proposed sale of the parks located on Gage Avenue. They argue that this decision could displace approximately 300 families, leading to significant upheaval.
The city has stated that the sale is part of a broader initiative aimed at developing new affordable housing complexes and retail spaces. In a statement, the City of Bell described the decision as "very difficult, but necessary."
No decisions were reached during the council meeting, with the vote on the sale tentatively scheduled for January 2026. The future of the mobile home parks remains uncertain as residents continue to advocate for their homes.
