The Vampire Lestat’s Cover of Billy Idol’s “Dancing With Myself” Now Available on Digital Platforms
Lestat De Lioncourt’s cover of Billy Idol’s “Dancing With Myself” is now available on major digital music platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.
Released by AMC Global Media and Lakeshore Records, this marks the third official single from AMC’s The Vampire Lestat, featuring Sam Reid as Lestat. It follows the recently launched tracks “All Fall Down,” featured during the opening titles, and “Long Face,” both composed by Daniel Hart and performed by Reid.
The latest chapter in Rice’s Immortal Universe follows Reid’s portrayal of the world’s first immortal rock star as he embarks on an electrifying multi-city tour. However, he is haunted by “muses” from his rebellious past. As Lestat and his band’s popularity soar, so does his influence over both vampires and humans, drawing attention amid the Great Conversion, which signifies a significant increase in the vampire population.
The most recent trailer for the series showcases Lestat performing “Dancing With Myself.”

The Vampire Lestat technically serves as the third season of Interview with the Vampire, which has been renamed in honor of the book title that serves as the season’s foundation.
Hart and showrunner Rolin Jones have collaborated on Interview with the Vampire since 2021. This season prominently features Hart’s musical contributions. He and Jones have been working closely in the writers’ room this year, with Hart co-writing one of the episodes and crafting over 20 songs for Lestat to perform.
Hart began his musical career touring as a hired musician for bands including St. Vincent, Broken Social Scene, Other Lives, and The Polyphonic Spree. He has led his own band, Dark Rooms, since 2013 and serves as the Musical Director for the onscreen band that Lestat fronts in Season 3.
The Vampire Lestat is executive produced by Mark Johnson, Rolin Jones, Hannah Moscovitch, Christopher Rice, and the late Anne Rice.
