In a warm display of camaraderie, Ariana Grande has received heartfelt praise from music and film icon Barbra Streisand, just days after sharing the stage with Cher on Saturday Night Live.
In an affectionate Instagram post featuring a photo of the two, Streisand described Grande as “a young woman with an amazing talent.” She elaborated, “She has a beautiful voice like no one else, and so much more. She can act, she can dance, she can be funny! She’s also sweet, kind and thoughtful. I’m very proud of you, Ariana, and thanks for singing with me on my album.”
The collaboration occurred earlier this year when Grande joined Streisand and pop powerhouse Mariah Carey for the song “One Heart, One Voice.” This track is featured on Streisand’s recent album, The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two, which debuted at No. 4 on Top Album Sales and garnered a nomination for best traditional pop vocal album at the upcoming 2026 Grammys.
Streisand concluded her post with a “big hug,” complimenting Grande’s performance on Saturday Night Live and noting how lovely she looked. Grande responded with enthusiasm, saying, “Oh my goodness, thank you so much for this kindest surprise today. You made my day, my year, my life! This means so much coming from you. I just love you so. I miss you, and I hope I get to hug you soon. … All my love and appreciation. Thank you.”
During the show’s Christmas episode, Grande humorously spoofed Carey’s classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You” and revived her popular character, Antonio, while parodying other stars including Céline Dion and Katy Perry. Cher also joined the festivities for her first SNL performances since 1987.
Despite their recent collaborations, Grande and Streisand have shared a link dating back several years. In 2019, Grande performed alongside Streisand for a rendition of “No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)” during one of Streisand’s concerts. Grande’s next film, Focker-in-Law, is the fourth installment in the Meet the Parents series, in which Streisand starred in the earlier films, and she has not entirely ruled out a return to the franchise.
Barbra Streisand’s heartfelt message to Ariana Grande emphasizes the strong bonds often formed within the music industry, highlighting the mutual respect and admiration shared between artists.
