Andy Cohen Shares His Thoughts on the Future of ‘The Real Housewives of Miami’ After Bravo’s Break
Andy Cohen Expresses Optimism for Return of The Real Housewives of Miami
Andy Cohen has expressed hope for the revival of The Real Housewives of Miami following the reality series being put on pause. During an episode of Watch What Happens Live on Thursday, Cohen addressed the future of the popular show when Southern Hospitality star Michols Peña inquired about its status.
“It’ll be back,” Cohen assured Peña. “If it was my decision, it will be going all the time.”
Peña, a devoted fan of the Miami edition of the franchise, emphasized the show’s significance to him, particularly because it features Hispanic and Latin stars, a connection he values deeply. Discussing a recent trip taken by the Southern Hospitality cast to the Dominican Republic, Peña shared insights on his experiences as a Hispanic individual and the importance of representation in media.
“Just to be able to have a sense of community where being one of the few Hispanic people on Bravo, just to be able to share that side of my story — help others to connect,” he remarked. “For example, watching Miami because they have a lot of Hispanic cast members was something that I connected with a lot, too.”
In March, Bravo officially announced that RHOM would be on hiatus, with no plans for Season 8 at that time. The decision to pause the series was reportedly influenced by declining ratings. The last new episode aired on October 16, 2025.
The most recent season featured cast members Alexia Nepola, Larsa Pippen, Lisa Hochstein, Guerdy Abraira, Julia Lemigova, and Stephanie Shojaee, along with friends Adriana de Moura, Marysol Patton, and Kiki Barth. Following the show’s pause announcement, many cast members took to social media to convey the importance of the show for representation within the Bravo network.
