Euphoria Season 3 Trailer Surges to 100 Million Views in Just Two Days, According to HBO
The highly anticipated third season of Euphoria is set to return after a four-year hiatus.
According to Warner Bros. Discovery, the Season 3 trailer garnered nearly 100 million views within the first 48 hours of its release, marking the largest trailer launch for an original series in HBO Max’s history during that timeframe.
The record held by previous series remains unclear, as HBO has celebrated numerous successful trailer launches without specific reference to the 48-hour time frame. Last year, The Last of Us Season 2 set a record with 158 million global views across platforms within three days. In 2019, HBO reported that the trailer for the final season of Game of Thrones amassed 81 million views in its first 24 hours.
Euphoria gained significant traction after its debut season and has continued to rise in popularity, with many main cast members becoming household names. HBO reports that the series is now one of the most-watched in the network’s history. The show concluded its second season on a high note in 2022, drawing a record audience of 6.6 million viewers across HBO platforms for its finale, a 30% increase from the previous week. This surpassed the viewership of its Season 1 finale in 2019, which attracted 530,000 viewers.

Season 3 is expected to be the series’ final installment. Key characters will return, including Zendaya’s Rue Bennett, Maude Apatow as Lexi Howard, Alexa Demie as Maddy Perez, Jacob Elordi as Nate Jacobs, Sydney Sweeney as Cassie Howard, and Hunter Schafer as Jules Vaughn.
New cast members will also join, as the storyline is set “a few years after high school,” according to first glimpses of Season 3. Creator Sam Levinson has indicated that the upcoming season will explore the characters’ experiences beyond the confines of school and the challenges that accompany this transition.
The new season is scheduled to premiere on April 12 at 9 p.m. on HBO and will be available for streaming on HBO Max.
