Thieves Steal from 7-Eleven Stores Throughout Los Angeles
Early Morning Robbery at 7-Eleven in East Los Angeles
An early morning theft at a 7-Eleven in East Los Angeles was captured on surveillance footage, showing two masked men stealing cash registers and an estimated $900 shortly after midnight on Wednesday. Authorities have confirmed that the incident is not being classified as grand theft.
Around 12:30 a.m., the suspects entered the store, quickly jumped over the counter, and left with two cash registers in a matter of seconds. The employee present during the incident was not injured.
Local law enforcement is actively seeking the two men, whose actions were clearly recorded by the store’s security cameras. The suspects fled toward Olympic Boulevard, away from the nearest intersection at Arizona Street.
This robbery is part of a concerning trend, as another similar incident occurred at a 7-Eleven in Westlake around 11:40 p.m. on Monday. In that case, a robber also leaped over the counter and made off with two cash registers. Additionally, on the same day, an armed robbery took place at a 7-Eleven in Palms, where masked individuals stole a cash register.
It remains unclear whether these incidents are connected, but police are investigating potential links between the robberies.
