Zendaya Shares Her Thoughts on Taking a Break After a Busy Year of Major Projects
Zendaya is poised for a prolific year in 2026, with several significant releases lined up before she seeks a break from the limelight.
This year, she is set to star in The Drama, the final season of Euphoria, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Dune: Part Three, The Odyssey, and potentially Avengers: Doomsday.
In a recent interview with Fandango, Zendaya expressed her gratitude towards her supporters: “I just hope people don’t get sick of me, and I really appreciate everyone who supports any of the movies [and] supports my career in any kind of way. I’m deeply appreciative.”
She added, “I just hope you guys don’t get sick of me this year because I’ll tell you what — I’m disappearing for a little bit. I’m going to have to go into hiding for just a little bit.”
Upcoming Films and Series
The Drama is scheduled to hit theaters on April 3. Directed and written by Kristoffer Borgli, the film features Zendaya as Emma Harwood, a bookstore clerk engaged to Robert Pattinson’s character, Charlie Thompson, a British museum director in London. Their relationship faces turmoil just days before their wedding when unsettling truths come to light.
HBO has announced that the premiere date for Euphoria Season 3 is April 12, with Zendaya reprising her role as Rue.
In addition, Zendaya will star in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, alongside Tom Holland, which is set for release on July 17. The pair will also return in cinemas for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, scheduled to open on July 31.
Dune: Part Three is slated for release on December 18, coinciding with the potential release of Avengers: Doomsday, should Zendaya remain involved in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
