Zeds Dead has announced plans for its largest tour to date, set to kick off on July 1. The news, revealed on March 4, highlights a summer tour the duo has titled “Journey of a Lifetime.”
The North American tour will span 15 shows in 12 cities, starting with two sold-out performances at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The itinerary includes stops at major venues, such as New York’s Forest Hills Stadium and Austin’s Germania Insurance Amphitheater, and concludes with two shows in Los Angeles’ Grand Park in early October. A complete tour schedule follows below.
Described as a major production, “Journey of a Lifetime” will feature a career-spanning setlist, including the titular track, one of Zeds Dead’s earliest releases from 2009. Artists Zachary Rapp-Rovan and Dylan Mamid noted that they plan to take a break in 2027, prompting them to invest deeply in production, new music, and stage design to create an unforgettable experience. “A journey of a lifetime,” they said, emphasizing their commitment to delivering a magical show.
Tickets for the tour will go on sale on March 11 and will feature a rotating lineup of support acts, including Alleycvt, Daily Bread, Deathpact, Dr. Fresch, Imanu, Ivy Lab, Mary Droppinz, Moody Good, and Whethan.
In a joint statement, Rapp-Rovan and Mamid reflected on the significance of the tour’s name. “Journey of a Lifetime is one of the first tracks we uploaded to the World Wide Web as Zeds Dead way back in 2009. Seventeen years later, it feels like it was a prophecy. We might have not realized it at the time, but we were in fact blasting off into space and leaving behind life as we knew it. This journey is your journey with us as well.”
“This will be our biggest tour yet, as it’s taking place in large outdoor venues and we’re going to make it the best show we can make,” they continued. “It will be the grand finale of everything we’ve been working on. To quote something we sampled in a beat once: ‘Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.’ We’ll be taking some time off in 2027, so we’re going all out on production, new music, and stage design to bring you a new show that will take you on a magical journey. A journey of a lifetime. See you there.”
Zeds Dead’s most recent album, Return to the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness, was released last March, coinciding with the ten-year anniversary of the duo’s label, Deadbeats.
