Zara Larsson Shares Her Concerns About PinkPantheress Working with Kylie Minogue on the ‘Stateside’ Remix

Zara Larsson’s recent collaboration on PinkPantheress’ remix of “Stateside” has turned into a notable success. Released in October 2025 as part of PinkPantheress’ Fancy Some More? project, the track has already begun to make its mark on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. A music video debuted on January 15.

At 28, Larsson expressed her enthusiasm for working with 24-year-old PinkPantheress, stating, “I love her. I think she’s so cute and very, very, very talented. She’s unapologetically herself, which I love, and she’s doing things her own way. She’s also very smart and funny.”

The remix developed after Larsson reached out to PinkPantheress with a direct message expressing her admiration. “I actually DM’ed her two days before she asked me to jump on the remix, like, ‘Queen.’ I think that’s all I said,” she recalled with a laugh.

Following her message, PinkPantheress responded, setting the stage for collaboration. “I was like, ‘Duh, I would love that.’ And she was like, ‘I’m doing this remix album. Are you down to do a song?’ I was like, ‘Yes,'” Larsson recounted. She recorded her verse while touring with Tate McRae, stating, “It was cute, boom boom boom boom boom, wrote my verse, sent it in, and then it was out like four days later.”

Upon the release of Fancy Some More?, Larsson experienced a moment of concern when she realized Kylie Minogue was also featured on a remix of “Stateside.” She noted, “I got really scared, like, ‘Oh my God, what if she hated it? I thought she liked it.’ But then it turned out she had, like, a million people on the remixes, which I think is actually a really fun way to do it.”

Larsson is featured in one of four remixes of “Stateside,” with contributions from Minogue, Bladee, and Groove Armada as well. “People also seem to like it, which makes me really excited,” she added.

Her collaboration with PinkPantheress has resonated well with audiences, reaching No. 83 on the Hot 100 and the music video has amassed nearly 10 million views within its first ten days.
