Woodland Hills Couple Experiences Home Invasion During Robbery
Authorities Investigate Armed Home Invasion in Woodland Hills
Authorities are on the lookout for a group responsible for an armed robbery that left a couple shaken after being held at gunpoint in Woodland Hills on Tuesday night.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to a call regarding a home invasion around 11:30 p.m. in the 22000 block of Erwin Street. According to police reports, the masked assailants, equipped with gloves, entered the home through a back entrance.
Once inside, the couple was coerced at gunpoint to open a safe, from which the robbers made off with $15,000 in cash and jewelry valued at over $400,000. The victims, identified as high-end jewelers, fortunately did not sustain any injuries during the incident.
As the investigation unfolds, no additional details have been released. Authorities continue to pursue leads in hopes of apprehending those responsible.
