Cillian Murphy will reprise his iconic role as Tommy Shelby in the forthcoming film adaptation of Peaky Blinders, which promises to bring back several key cast members from the beloved BBC series. The show’s six-season run concluded in April 2022, yet Tommy’s journey continues.
In an announcement regarding Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, it has been confirmed that the film will receive a limited theatrical release on March 6, 2026, followed by its streaming premiere on March 20.
Trailer Release and Production Update
Netflix has officially released a trailer for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man on February 19, 2026, with an initial teaser preceding it in December 2025. Production for the highly anticipated film commenced on September 30.
Cast Details
Alongside Murphy, whose recent performance in Oppenheimer earned him an Academy Award, notable actresses Rebecca Ferguson (Mission: Impossible, Dune) and Barry Keoghan (The Banshees of Inisherin, Saltburn) will join the project. Tim Roth, known for his roles in Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, is also part of the cast. Stephen Graham, who portrayed Hayden Stagg in the show’s final season, will return as well.
While the specific roles for Ferguson, Keoghan, and Roth remain undisclosed, creator Steven Knight has hinted at the inclusion of additional prominent actors and fresh faces, details of which have yet to be revealed.
Returning cast member Sophie Rundle, who played Ada Shelby, will reprise her role. In the series finale, Tommy entrusted Ada with the family’s business reins, setting the stage for their ongoing narrative.

The original Peaky Blinders series, which debuted in 2013, chronicles the life of a gangster family in early 20th-century England, named for their infamous practice of sewing razor blades into the peaks of their caps. Murphy’s portrayal of Tommy Shelby, the family’s formidable leader, captured the attention of audiences worldwide.

Tom Harper will direct the film, based on a script written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.
