Water Main Break in Burbank Leads to Flooded Streets
Water Main Break Floods Burbank Streets
BURBANK, Calif. – Cleanup operations are ongoing in a Burbank neighborhood following a significant water main break early Friday morning.
Burbank Water and Power officials reported that crews responded to the burst pipe around 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of North Hollywood Way and North Whitnall Highway. FOX 11’s ground crew documented the scene, noting that workers were actively pumping water out of the area, which had turned into a muddy mess.
The powerful flow of the water displaced a white pickup truck parked nearby, though the vehicle’s owner reassured that there was no damage. Approximately 52 customers in the vicinity experienced low water pressure and flow; however, authorities confirmed that the water remains safe to drink. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
As cleanup continues, the timeline for full restoration of service remains unclear.
