Vin Diesel Shares a Sneak Peek of the Fast & Furious Super Bowl Commercial
Universal Studios Hollywood is set to thrill visitors with its latest attraction, “Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift,” featuring franchise star Vin Diesel. The park recently released a 30-second promotional spot for the highly anticipated roller coaster, which will air during NBCUniversal’s coverage of the upcoming Super Bowl, the Winter Olympics, and the NBA All-Star Game.
The advertisement marks the beginning of an extensive media campaign for the ride, which is expected to open this summer with an exact date to be revealed soon. Diesel’s familiar voice lends gravitas to the commercial, beginning with the question, “You ready?” He sets the tone for the exhilarating experience that follows.
The teaser showcases the ride’s innovative “drift” feature, allowing cars to spin as they speed across the track at speeds of up to 72 MPH. This new attraction marks the park’s first high-speed outdoor roller coaster, with a track that has been under construction for several months and weaves through multiple levels of the backlot. Each train comprises four vehicles, including a replica of Dominic Toretto’s iconic Dodge Charger, which was presented to media earlier this summer.
“Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift” promises to deliver a unique experience, featuring 360-degree rotation of the ride vehicles across a 4,100-foot track—that’s nearly 12 football fields in length—designed with sound reduction technology to enhance the thrilling effect of the ride. According to Universal executives, this will be the fastest roller coaster within the Universal Destinations & Experiences portfolio, with another similar attraction planned for the Orlando resort.
Additionally, Diesel recently announced that the next installment in the Fast & Furious franchise, titled “Fast Forever,” is slated for a theatrical release on March 17, 2028.
