Vermont Vista Shooting Captured by Surveillance Camera
Manhunt Underway After Fatal Shooting Outside South Los Angeles Bar
A manhunt is currently in progress for a gunman involved in a deadly shooting outside a bar in South Los Angeles early Saturday morning.
The Los Angeles Police Department reported that the incident occurred around 3:50 a.m. near the intersection of Figueroa and 120th Streets. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man with at least one gunshot wound. Despite paramedics’ efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Surveillance footage from a nearby gas station captured the events leading up to the incident. The video shows two men exiting the bar and entering into an apparent argument. The alleged shooter then leaves the area, only to return moments later and fire a single shot at the victim from close range.
According to the LAPD, the shooting, which involved a .45 caliber firearm, arose from a dispute that took place inside the bar, though the specifics of that disagreement remain unclear.
As of now, the suspected shooter is still at large, last seen walking eastbound on 120th Street. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim, but he has been described as a man in his 40s.
